"BE SET, BE READY AND FOCUS"

A major problem I see with goalies of all levels (including MLL goalies) is that they are not in a good fundamental ready position when the offensive team has the ball. I have had the opportunity to work with some pretty good goalies that acted like it was a surprise to see a shot coming at them! OR they were working to get set while the shot was on it's way!! By then, it's too late!!!

I teach to every goalie I work with, from the goalie just starting out to the MLL All-Star.......When the other team has the ball you need to be SET in your fundamental athletic stance, be READY for shot at any time and FOCUS on the ball. Following these simple steps and I guarantee at least three to five more saves per game!!!!
